BCS Vikings Take Home Post Season Honors.

The Bellevue Christian Vikings were represented well on Emerald City All League Teams this spring.  Congratulations to the following student athletes in their respective sports:

All League Baseball - Tor Coyle and Sean FitzPatrick

All League Boys Soccer - Jonah Graff - 1st Team, Bennett Close and Luke Postma - 2nd Team.

All League Softball - Ali King and Katie Hoffman.  Katie Hoffman was also Rookie of the Year.

The Bellevue Christian Girls Track and Field Team brought home the 4th place trophy after a great year.  The Vikings were led by Senior Bree Oldham who won her 3rd consecutive state championship in the 300 hurdles, as well as placed 4th in the 100 High Hurldles, second place on the 4X200 relay team, and ran the anchor leg of the State Championship 4X400 relay team.  Members of the 4X200 relay team that finished 2nd along with Oldham were Meredith Lampe, Ali Vitalone, and Carly McClintock.

Congratulations to the Bellevue Christian girls softball team as they were the academic state champions for the 1A classification.  The BCS team which had 18 members had an overall GPA of 3.69.

Bellevue Christian sends four golfers to State

The BCS boys and girls golf teams will be represented at the WIAA State Golf Championships in DuPont, WA on May 22 and 23.

Spencer Findlay and Bo Foster made the cut for the boys and Olivia Waham and Carolyn Langdon made the cut for the girls.

All four BCS golfers will tee off on Tuesday, May 22 at the Home Course in DuPont.  For tee times please go to the WIAA home page.

BCS Boys Soccer Back in State Tournament

The BCS Boys Soccer team won a hard fought game vs. Lynden Christian this past Saturday at Interlake HS in Bellevue, 3 to 1.  With the Tri District win BCS is in the WIAA state tournament.

The BCS boys will be playing against Chelan in Chelan on Wednesday, May 16 in the first round!

BCS Track and Field do well in League Championships

The BCS boys track and field team took home the Emerald City League Track and Field Championship after two days of competition.  The Vikings were lead by Michael Antosz (110 HH), Austin Razor (300 hurdles) and Scottie Miller (Discus) who won their events.

The BCS girls track and field team finished in second place in the ECL Championships.  The girls were led by Bree Oldham (100 HH and 300 hurdles), Meredith Lampe (200 meters) and Emilie Catlett (javelin) as event winners.  The girls 4 X 200

Basketball Teams Lose Tough Games in the New Regional Basketball Format

The boys and girls basketball teams lost tough games in the new WIAA Regional basketball format.  THe first round of state games were played at Glacier Peak HS.  The boys lost a tough game to Toledo HS.  The girls team lost a heartbreaker to Castle Rock HS.  Both teams should be proud of their seasons success, both teams worked hard and had a great season.

Bellevue Christian Names New Baseball Coach

Bellevue Christian is proud to announce that Mr. Scott Nelson has been named head baseball coach.  Coach Nelson was the head JV coach at Skyline HS the past two years and played at Biola University in Southern California in his college years.  Coach Nelson works for Young Life in the Issaquah area.  The BCS community is excited for the upcoming season and excited to have Coach Nelson to lead the baseball team this year!

BCS Boys and Girls Basketball Teams Win League Championship

Congratulations to the boys and girls basketball teams as they both won Emerald City League Championship games Thursday, February 9. 

The boys beat Seattle Academy in a hard fought game 41 - 40.  The boys will now host a Tri District game at Bellevue Christian on Tuesday, February 14.  The game will be at 7:30 and the boys will play the winner of Life Christian and Friday Harbor.

The girls beat Cedar Park Christian 45 - 34 in the girls championship game of the Emerald CIty League.  Each team

BCS Fall Sports Athletes earn All-League Honors

Congratulations to the following BCS athletes that were selected to their respective Emerald City All-League teams for the fall sports season of 2011:

Boys Golf: Bo Foster, Spencer Findlay, and Hayden Jacobsen. Ryan Dierdorff Coach of the Year.

Girls Soccer: Paige Miller-Second team.

Volleyball: Kellie Hartford, Meredith Lampe, and Emily Stoppler-First Team. Emily Stoppler was also Rookie of the Year.

BCS Names New Girls Varsity Soccer Coach

 It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce Mr. Nathan Miller as the new head soccer coach of the Varsity Girls soccer program at Bellevue Christian School.

 

Coach Miller has an extensive soccer background playing in high school in Colorado as well as 3 years at George Fox University in Oregon.  His coaching background includes many teams on Whidbey Island when he lived there as well as JV boys soccer at Coupeville HS.  He has officiated and coached other sports at the HS level

BCS Fall Sport information for Fall of 2011

BCS Parents and BCS student athletes,

 

Please note the following information regarding fall sports for JH and HS students at BCS.

 

All BCS students that want to participate in BCS athletics need to have all of their paperwork turned into the athletic office before they will be allowed to start practicing. 

 

Physicals are good for 24 months, most BCS students will need physicals in their 7th, 9th, and 11th grade years.

 

All other paperwork needs to be turned in every year as family

BCS Boys and Girls Track and Field Competes at State, BCS Girls Bring Home Third State Championship in a Row!

Congratulations to the BCS Girls Track and Field Team as they won their third consecutive State Championship!

The BCS girls were led by Seniors Mackenzie Altig and Bridget Ralston.  Altig placed third in the 100 high hurdles, long jump, and triple jump, as well as eighth place in the 300 hurdles.  Ralston finished second in the 100 high hurdles and 300 hurdles.  She was also a part of the forth place 4 X 200 relay team and state champion 4 X 400 relay team.  Junior Bree Oldham won the 300

BCS Baseball loses two tough games and finishes Forth at State.

The BCS Baseball returned to the semi finals of the WIAA Baseball Championships for the first time since 2002.  The baseball lost the semi final game to eventual state champion Chimacum HS, 6 to 4 in a tough hard fought game.

On Saturday the BCS baseball team came back and played a very good Meridian HS team in the consolation game and lost another hard fought game of evenly matched teams, 5 to 2 to finish 4th place in State.

The BCS boys and girls track and field teams will be represented well in the Track and Field  State Championships this week Friday and Saturday on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington.

BCS Baseball on to the Semi Finals!

The BCS baseball team won two games this past weekend in Wenatchee, WA.  The BCS baseball team won a hard fought game vs. Cashmere in game one, 1 - 0.  JoJo Howie went the distance in getting the win with 10 k's and no walks.

In game two the Vikings bats came alive in a 16 - 3 win over Columbia Burbank.  The Vikings had 21 hits in the victory.  JoJo Howie hit 2 home runs and Nat Townsend got the win.

BCS Girls Golf Team Wins League Championship

Congratulations to the BCS girls golf team for winning the Emerald City League Championship on Tuesday, May 10.  The girls team lead by coaches Karen Johnson and Heather Tuininga went undefeated in league play and then won the league tournament.  Senior Kristen Lawler was the medalist of the tournament shooting an 85.  All six girls going to the league tournament will move on to the Tri District Tournament.  The girls making it on to the Tri District Tournament are Kristen Lawler, Mackenzie

Bellevue Christian Announces Mr. Greg Schneider as Head Football Coach

It is with great pleasure that Bellevue Christian School announces the hiring of Mr. Greg Schneider as the Head Football Coach. The football hiring committee unanimously selected Greg and is committed to him being a part of the BCS community.

JH Track and Field Starts Monday, March 28!

BCS JH Track and Field will start on Monday, March 28.  All students must have all forms filled out and turned in to the Athletic Office before being allowed to start.  There will be sign ups in the JH hallway this week.  Coaches for the team this year will be Paul Adams, Tracy Miller, and Colin Adams.  The practice and meet schedule is still being finalized.

BCS Girls Basketball Brings Home 5th Place Trophy.

Congratulations to the BCS girls basketball team for bringing home the 5th place trophy from the WIAA State Basketball Championships in Yakima this past weekend.  The BCS girls lost a tough game on Friday night in the semi finals to eventual state champion Freeman HS.  The Vikings came back on Saturday and played a great game against a tough LaSalle HS team and lost in overtime.

BCS Boys and Girls Basketball playing in Tri District Action.

The boys and girls basketball teams will continue in post season action this week.  Both teams will be playing on Tuesday, February 15 in the Tri Districts.  The BCS girls will play at home tomorrow vs. Vashon Island HS starting at 7pm.  The boys team will play at Cascade Christian HS starting at 7pm.

BCS Hosts the ECL Basketball Tournament

Bellevue Christian will be hosting the boys and girls Emerald City League Basketball Tournaments this week!  Action starts tonight for the BCS boys team as they start the tournament by hosting Overlake starting at 7pm.  Tuesday and Thursday there will be plenty of action with 4 games each day, two girls games and two boys games.  Game times will be as follows - 3:30pm girls game, 5:00pm boys game, 6:30pm girls game, and 8:00pm boys game.  The BCS girls team will play their first league

Elementary Day for BCS Basketball Games!

All BCS Elementary students from Mack and 3Pts and their parents are invited to come to the home BCS basketball games on Saturday, January 29.  We have a full day of basketball with the JV girls starting the action at 1:00pm, JV boys at 2:30pm, Varsity Girls starting at 4:30pm and the Varsity Boys at 6:00pm.  All games are vs. Seattle Academy.  All BCS students are free and elementary parents will only have to pay $3.00 (normally $5) for admission.  Come on out and support the more...

Congratulations to BCS teacher and coach Larry Royce for being named to the Washington State Track and Field Coaches Association Coach of the Year!  Coach Royce was also named the 2010 NFHS Coaches Association National Coach of the Year for Girls Track and Field for 2010.  Coach Royce will be honored on April 30 after the BCS Invite Track and Field Meet.  Look for more details coming soon!

Announcement Regarding Boys Soccer at BCS!

For the past 8 years Bellevue Christian School has been part of the Emerald City League.  Members of this league played boys soccer in the fall while the rest of the WIAA 1A schools compete in boys soccer during the spring.  Starting in  2011 -2012, the Emerald City League and Bellevue Christian School will move boys soccer to the spring, putting us in alignment with all other WIAA 1A schools.  After much consideration, we believe this move will allow Bellevue Christian School the best

Announcing New Billing for BCS Athletic Fees!

Parents,

 

Announcing a collaborative effort between the Athletic Department and Student Billing!

 

Starting immediately all athletic fees for students participating in Bellevue Christian athletics will be billed along with tuition.  If you have not paid for your student?s fall or winter sport yet, that athletic fee will be placed on your next tuition statement, as well as all athletic fees from now on.

 

The Athletic office will work with the Billing office during each athletic season.

Congratulations to both the boys and girls cross country teams of BCS.  The boys team finished in 9th place at the Westside Classic, the tri district race for 1A.  Senior Michael Milbank finished in 23rd place and Sophomore Daniel Nortz finished in 12th place, both will represent BCS in the WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Pasco Washington next week end.  All of the boys on the teams recorded personal best times!  Other boys on the BCS Team that ran at the Westside Classic were Jordan

Coach Larry Royce Named Track and Field Coach of the Year for 2010!

Coach Larry Royce was named the 2010 Washington State Track and Field Coaches Association Girls Coach of the Year!  This award is an award that is for the entire state regardless of classification.  The BCS Girls Track and Field team is coming off back to back State Championships in 2009 and 2010!  Coach Royce gives much credit to the outstanding staff of BCS coaches as well as the outstanding student athletes of BCS!  Coach Royce will now be up for the National Coach of the Year presented by

Mr. Ryan Dierdorff Named Boys Golf Coach at Bellevue Christian.

Bellevue Christian Alum and current JH teacher Ryan Dierdorff has been named the Head Boys Golf Coach at Bellevue Christian School.  Coach Dierdorff has been helping as an asisstant coach for the girls golf program under Coach Karen Johnson the past 4 years.  Coach Dierdorff brings with him a love of the game as a player and also as a teacher of the game of golf!  We are very excited to have Coach Dierdorff to lead the boys golf program!
