Hey now...

One of the things we do durng long lunch for JH students is open up the gym and let them get sweaty playing basketball, volleyball, or whatever else they feel like doing. In order to do this we need parents who can spare an hour or so during mid-day Thursdays to watch over the troops.

Here are the specific details:

Most Thursdays from 12;30-1:30PM.

Summer Reading thoughts

I am a big reader. I can't get enough of it, though I didn't think that way when I was a teenager.

As you know, we are asking JH students to read several books this summer in order to keep their brains chugging along until September rolls around. With this in mind, I'd like to throw out a couple of suggestions for the "choose your own book" category. It's purely for-what-it's-worth, nothing more. My Dad, The Mayor

My dad isn't an actual politician, but I call him "The Mayor" because he seems to not only know everyone on earth, but is also beloved by them. To wit:

Dad leads the world in free coffee refills
Restaurants get his food ready to go before he even arrives (his schedule is fixed you might say)
He gets extra large ice cream cones-often on-the-house-at multiple fast food establishments
Waitresses (the single ones) would marry dad in a second if he were on the market
