Grading

BCS Junior High and High School operate on a semester calendar with an A-E grading system. GPAs are calculated on a four-point (4.0) scale.  No extra weighting is given for AP classes or accelerated programs.  At the 2008 High School Awards Ceremony, 110 students were recognized for achieving a GPA of 3.76-4.0 (High Honor Roll) and 92 students were recognized for achieving Honor Roll the fall semester of 2007-08 (GPA of  3.35-3.75).
