Timely Sermon
Here's a sermon I found very timely for this time of year, though it's not Christmas-themed. Tullian Tchividjian is a grandson of Billy Graham, and is currently the lead pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This sermon is his wrap-up of one of my favorite books of the Bible, Ecclesiastes. Advent is about finding our hope in Christ alone, which is very challenging during the month of December in particular. Solomon was a guy who lived the life we think we want, particularly in the area of lacking nothing. If you've ever found yourself saying "boy, if I just had ___________, then I'd be happy," well, Solomon had it, and, by putting it in an idolatrous place in his life, found it wanting. Ecclesiastes has never been more timely in my opinion.
So, with all that as a backdrop, here's the sermon...Enjoy.
