Greetings from the Superintendent
Ron Taylor
Our goal is to prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform the world from the foundation of God's unchanging values.
Bellevue Christian School (BCS) has been serving the Eastside community for 60 years. In this time, our goal has been explicitly stated, to teach all subjects from a Christian worldview perspective. At BCS, we like to say that knowing is doing. Learning in itself is not the end. The goal of learning resides in the Great Commandment.
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. Matthew 22:37-39
We are training students to think critically about the world around them, to ask a different set of questions, to be active in the "public square" and to make a difference wherever they reside, work and exist in their community. We know that learning requires action, and we are preparing students to go into a rapidly changing world with skills, knowledge and eternal truths, so in turn, they can bring justice into every sphere of life. We are training students to go and respond to God in loving service.
Our commitment to rich and rigorous learning has stood the test of time and our thousand of alumni are great examples. As we stretch students intellectually and challenge them spiritually, we realize the ultimate goal in education is discipleship. Our students have attended elite universities and major state colleges, served as missionaries, lawyers, mothers, doctors, pastors, business persons, military officers, fathers, coaches, artists and community leaders throughout the world. They are prepared to "understand, evaluate, and transform the world from the foundation of God's unchanging values."
They are prepared to Go!
I invite you and your family to become part of the BCS community. Join us in preparing today's youth to Go and transform the world.
