Preschool Assistant Director

Mack Elementary – Woodinville, WA

Job Type: Part-Time, 0.5 FTE

Salary: $24.00 – $29.50/hour, depending on experience

Reports To: Preschool Director

Job Summary: The Assistant Director will assist the Preschool Director in the planning and supervising of the Preschool program to ensure that practices are varied and developmentally appropriate and meet the WAC licensing requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in supporting teachers in their planning of developmentally appropriate curriculum/activities and learning centers to implement program goals and objectives.
  • Help manage and coordinate staffing schedules for the Preschool including calling substitutes when needed.
  • Assist program with maintaining all state required safety, health, and security standards.
  • Perform on-site program supervisory duties including campus tours.
  • Be able to communicate the mission and goals of BCS Preschool to a wide variety of audiences, in a wide variety of ways and show a genuine love for people (staff/faculty, children, and parents).
  • Assist the Director and teachers in facilitating special events.
  • Create purchase orders to fulfill requests for teacher resources.
  • Assist the Director in observing and mentoring staff.
  • Support staff with students who occasionally have social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Serve as a substitute as needed/appropriate.

Qualifications (required):

  • Knowledge of child development through education, experience, and on-the-job performance.
  • Maintain STARS requirements annually.
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR/First Aid/ HIV/BBP training/Food Workers Card.
  • Familiarity with WA State & DCYF licensing regulations.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on teaching experience with preschool.
  • Minimum of 25 ECE Credits at the time of hire and the expectation to maintain an ECE state certificate (47 credits or equivalent) within 5 years of the time of hire. Education must be verified in the electronic workforce registry (MERIT).
  • Complete the applicable preservice requirements as required by DCYF.

Qualifications (desired):

  • Proficiency at Microsoft Office Suite or capacity to learn.
  • Capacity to learn Veracross, the school’s information management software.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or administrative role.

Bus Driver

District-wide | Designated Bus Routes

Shifts can start in Renton, Woodinville or Bellevue!

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Working Hours: 6 hours/day guaranteed during school year, job share/part-time will be considered

Responsibilities:

  • This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily.
  • Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.
  • Six hours/day guaranteed during school days.
  • Will consider job-share if candidate is interested in a 2-3 day/week schedule

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • CDL type B driver’s license with airbrakes and school bus ‘P’ & ‘S’ endorsement
  • At least 3 years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle
  • Satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor.
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church.
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (BCS can train upon hire)
  • Background check includes: fingerprinting and FBI background check.

Student Academic Services Office Manager

JH/HS Campus – Clyde Hill, WA

Job Type: Part-Time, 0.67 FTE, Monday-Friday 8am-3pm during the school year.

Salary: $24 – $27.50/hour, depending on experience

Reports To: Director of Student Learning

Job Summary:

The Student Academic Services (SAS) Office Manager manages SAS correspondence, records of elementary, junior and senior high SAS students including, application for services, testing records, grades (for junior and senior high only), parent communication, purchase orders, therapist communication, managing substitute requests, and assist the Director of Student Learning with other duties, as assigned.

The Student Academic Services Office Manager, working in the SAS office should model to students, colleagues and the Bellevue Christian School community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain confidential files, located in the SAS office, for all BCS K-12 students currently in SAS, which will include a 504 plan/testing, or a Focus Form received by the director related to the student’s academic challenges.
  • Collect, distribute and process 504 plans for all campuses.
  • Coordinate director’s calendar; scheduling prospective parent meetings, responding to therapists, parents, principals, admissions and teachers’ meeting requests.
  • Assist in Jr High and High School scheduling, therapist’s schedules, and standardized testing scheduling. Work with enrollment and re-enrollment of SAS students to maintain and up-to-date list of therapy students, campus/grade assignments, therapist assignments and number of contracted therapy sessions being sure to communicate and reconcile with Student Billing to ensure accurate billing.
  • Arrange substitutes for therapists and input data in Frontline.
  • Order materials throughout the year, at the request of the director. Record and reconcile purchases with the budget and the Finance Office.
  • Coordinate NILD and IDEA therapists’ certification. Submit enrollment for NILD classes or webinars, create and file clock hour forms.
  • Input testing data for SAS students to NILD.
  • Oversee grades 7 – 12 SAS students all day on Monday, during independent study.
  • Proctor testing as needed for students with extended time or need for a quiet space.
  • Maintain an office and classroom environment that is welcoming to parents and structured for students.
  • Assist therapists in responding to health emergencies, behavior disruptions and other needs when they occur.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

  • Ability to stand and walk for 15-20 minutes at a time, is required.

Salary: $73.50 for 1-3 hours/day; $147.00 for all day

Coaching Positions

Head Football Coach

Clyde Hill JH/HS Campus – Clyde Hill, WA

Annual Stipend: $6,200 – $7,700, depending on experience

Reports To: Athletic Director

Job Summary: To oversee all aspects of the football program, providing skill building activities, supervision, and support to all student athletes involved.

General Responsibilities:

  • The varsity head football coach should model and attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability to students, colleagues, and the BCS community. They must be patient and honest in all situations. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle.
  • The varsity head football coach is responsible for leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of student athletes in practices and games/matches. Positive rapport with student athletes and parents is expected and required.
  • Must be able to coordinate the entire program (Varsity, JV, and JH, if applicable).
  • The varsity head football coach must follow WIAA rules and regulations in eligibility, CPR and first aid, and clock hours.
  • Head Coaches are responsible for the supervision of all athletes before, during, and after practices, team meetings, and games. Understand and follow all the responsibilities that come with transportation.
  • Communication of practices, games and team activities via verbal and email communication.
  • Be responsible for the distribution, collection, storage, and inventory of all athletic equipment and uniforms for your program.
  • Attend school, league, and state meetings for your respective sport.

Work Requirements:

  • Work is generally performed with the majority time standing.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to work in noisy conditions during athletic contests.
  • Travel to games and off-campus practices required.
