Marine Science is all about the geology, water, and animals of the salt-water ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest. See a variety of marine creatures, study the impact of pollution on our oceans and estuaries, and collaborate on a variety of projects as you do.
- Create and maintain aquarium systems of plants and fish
- Never look at a drain on the street or a piling or a tidepool the same way
- Take field trips to places like tide flats, aquariums, and wastewater treatment plants
- Study some of God’s most unique creatures by dissecting some forms of marine life
- Collaborate with your peers and productively contribute to conversations about touchy subjects
- Homework is generally less than 30 minutes per class day
